We Keep Us Safe: How to Help with Safety in our Community Spaces

How do we keep each other safe when we gather together in community spaces? We’re thinking of events like this one in which we are publicly asserting our opposition to authoritarianism, religious services for targeted communities, and other spaces targeted by fascist violence. Learn how we can be proactive, and how anyone in our community spaces can step up to help if concerns arise. Because who keeps us safe? We keep us safe!

New community safety content!

We will start each workshop promptly – please arrive a bit early if you want to get settled and make a plate. Bring food for the potluck if you’re able! Everyone is invited to eat when you want, and to stay to enjoy each other’s company after the workshop. We join a long legacy of Southern communities eating and learning together as we grow movements for collective liberation.

These sessions are free! If you are able, we ask for a voluntary $5 contribution to help support the series. You can donate ahead of time here, or donate at the door. And in November, we will have childcare available!
