Friday, January 23, is an ICE Out For Good National Day of Solidarity led by Minnesota organizers, national allies from labor, and everyday Americans. In Minnesota, hundreds of businesses, labor, faith and community organizations are calling on everyone to come together for a day of collective action. Tomorrow, we will stand in solidarity with Minnesota.
We will join hundreds of communities nationwide to protest ICE’s brutal attacks on community members in Minneapolis and elsewhere. We will rally in front of Target from 5-6 pm in solidarity with Minnesotans who are fighting to protect their communities from ICE attacks.
Target is a symbol of Minnesota, a homegrown corporation that is the state’s 4th largest employer. But Target is facilitating brutal attacks on community members by letting ICE use its parking lots as staging sites and allowing ICE onto its property to arrest Target workers and customers without signed judicial warrants.
This is a moment that requires all of us to stand up for justice. We call on Target and others to:
refuse ICE permission to enter property without a signed judicial warrant
publicly call for ICE to leave Minnesota immediately
publicly call on Congress to freeze funding for ICE
We hope to see you there.
