Growing Our Movements: Learning from Labor Unions about Collective Action
To fight authoritarianism, we need to grow mass movements – which means bringing in more and more people with everything we do. Let’s learn from labor union organizing about how to bring people in, person by person, to take collective action. What kinds of teams, practices, and ways of being together will help us grow our people power? Beyond defeating authoritarianism, we want to win a future in which our dreams come true – in community with love and joy.
New mass movement content!
We will start each workshop promptly – please arrive a bit early if you want to get settled and make a plate. Bring food for the potluck if you’re able! Everyone is invited to eat when you want, and to stay to enjoy each other’s company after the workshop. We join a long legacy of Southern communities eating and learning together as we grow movements for collective liberation.
These sessions are free! If you are able, we ask for a voluntary $5 contribution to help support the series. You can donate ahead of time here, or donate at the door. And in November, we will have childcare available!
