People's Summer Activist Series -- June 5

Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church

1901 Thomson Rd, Charlottesville

Our Summer Activist’s Series continues Thursday June 5! Come join us to learn more about the how and why of our fight against fascism.

  • How do we organize a protest, and plan a campaign, to create tangible changes in our lives here and now?

  • How do we practice daily actions to protect each other from the grips of an authoritarian state?

  • How do we connect across communities and issues?

  • What have we learned from resistance movements in the U.S. and elsewhere?

  • What have we learned from each other here in Charlottesville? Join as many sessions as you can – let’s build power!

Know Your Rights, Use Your Power

This is an essential workshop in the People's Activist Summer Series designed to equip participants with practical knowledge to advocate for themselves and their communities. This session will cover fundamental civil rights, navigating encounters with law enforcement, and strategies for resisting systemic injustice through informed action.
