A campaign is a long-term community organizing project built around a set of goals to change a policy, get something to happen or not happen, or otherwise change a specific piece of our daily conditions. Recent national campaigns against fascism and oppression include ICE Out, Stop Cop City, Tesla Takedown, and multiple efforts to stop the construction of data centers, build more housing, and secure workers’ right to unionize. The list goes on! To launch a campaign, you need your issue, your team, some research, and possible targets and pressure points. Campaigns help us grow our movement and impact the conditions of our daily lives. Come to this session to get started.
