+ Has my polling place changed?

Several polling places have changed in Albermarle County, you may have to go to a different poll location to vote in the November election. For more infomation, see the county notice. You can confirm your polling location here:

+ What times are the polls open?

The polls are open from 6am - 7pm on Nov. 6.

+ What do I need to bring to the polls?

Virginia law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of photo ID. This also applies to anyone voting absentee in person.

+ What do I do if I will be unable to vote on election day?

If you will be out of town, working or have another reason you cannot vote when the polls are open on Nov. 6, you can vote in-person at the Charlottesville and Albemarle County registrar’s offices starting on September 21, 2018 through November 3, 2018 during normal business hours ( M-F 8:30-4:30 for Charlottesville City voters (the Albemarle office is open until 5pm). The Charlottesville City office will also be open two Saturdays for absentee in person voting – October 27th and Nov 3rd.
