- A Service for Repair, Saturday, August 11, 3 - 5:30 p.m. First Presbyterian Church, Charlottesville. A service of remembrance for a community in need of repair led by 6 women of color, who will offer poetry, music, dance, contemplation and communal ritual with a focus on practical, actionable ways to enter into the work of justice making. - VA Students Act Against White Supremacy: Rally for Justice, Saturday, August 11, 7 - 9 p.m. The Rotunda, 1828 University Ave. On the 1-year anniversary of the white supremacist torch-lit rally, join students, UVA associates, and community members to reclaim the North Plaza of the Rotunda and demand justice for those who have suffered at the hands of white supremacy. - Community Gathering Against White Supremacy, Sunday, August 12, 9am at Washington Park. Join Showing Up for Racial Justice Charlottesville (SURJ) and the people of Charlottesville and beyond as we gather to collectively mourn the events of last August 12th and honor this community's resilience against white supremacy, long before A12 and after.
