On Tuesday at 5pm, join us for our #Flipthe5th rally at Preston & McIntire in downtown Charlottesville

It might be the most important election in American history, yet too many voters don't know what's at stake. This week, we're partnering with Moms Demand Action to remind Americans that gun violence is an everyday issue. Almost 100 people are killed every day by guns—in domestic violence, suicides, and homicides.

Gun violence is just one of the many reasons we need to get the vote out for Leslie Cockburn this November and make sure we have a representative in Congress who'll stand up for all of us. RSVP on Facebook here or just show up—bring a friend, bring a sign, or come as you are!

Come to our Postcards to Voters happy hour! We'll be at the Three Notch'd Sour House on Grady Ave. from 5-8pm on Thursday.

In the 2017 elections, handwritten and personal postcards were incredibly effective at persuading voters. So at last week's happy hour, Indivisible Charlottesville volunteers wrote 450—that's four hundred and fifty—postcards to voters across the 5th District.

We'll supply the addresses, the pens, and the postcards. Just bring yourself, a friend, and your passion for flipping the 5th. Here's the Facebook event page. Can you help us beat 450 this week?

Help us register voters! Indivisible volunteers are spreading out across the Charlottesville area to register new voters in advance of November's elections.

Almost 1 in 4 Virginia adults isn't registered to vote, and every single vote counts. So getting people registered and helping former felons get their rights back is some of the most important and meaningful work you can do in a democracy. That's why we've made it incredibly easy to get started! Just click here or go to indivisiblecharlottesville.org/votingrights.

Come to the Boycott Bigotry comedy show on July 20th—tickets are free!

Boycott Bigotry

Of all the weapons in the people's arsenal, comedy and laughter are the most powerful. So Negin Farsad, Dean Obeidallah, and Jordan Carlos, the Comedy Central trio behind "The Muslims Are Coming," are kicking off their campaign to get Americans to boycott Trump's winery and hotel with a FREE show in Charlottesville. They'll be at the Haven from 7:30-9pm this Friday. Click here to reserve your tickets!
